Galena House · Est. MMXXIII

The Patron Circle.

A seat by the fire, not a donation.

There is a thing I do every morning without deciding to. I come down before the mountain has assembled itself outside the window, and I start the kettle, and I build the fire, and then I take down two cups. Two. My hand has never once consulted me about the number.

This house, the books, the press, the reading room, all of it, is built by one hand and kept alive by its patrons. Not donors. Patrons. A seat by the fire, a name in the weave, a place in whatever this becomes.

Before any seat, there is a place

Letters from the House.

Free · the threshold

Notice when a new book or issue is published, the occasional letter from this desk, a spot saved in the Reading Room with your progress and your passages, selected complimentary pieces, and an invitation through this door when you are ready. No cost, no password. Just a name and an address, kept respectfully.

The Guest Book.

$12 / month

A guest book records who stayed. This one records who stays. Above all of it, a key to the room I built so the books could be held the way I meant them to be held.

The Night Desk.

$25 / month

The night desk is where the writing actually happens, between eleven and the alarm. This seat sits at it. The pages before anyone, while they are still wet and may not survive.

The Lamp.
